Our Project

The University of Iowa Liver Wellness Project is a multidisciplinary initiative dedicated to the prevention of liver disease and the optimal care of those already affected. In a time when liver disease is one of the fastest-growing causes of morbidity worldwide, this project addresses a critical and growing public health need. It engages the general public through accessible educational activities and community resources—including our annual 5K—and supports the healthcare community through state-of-the-art annual conferences that disseminate the latest advances in liver health and disease management.
